I
can acknowledge with sincerity that this is the one jersey in the
collection that certainly needs more exploration.
Oleg Petrov’s Home jersey is branded with the coveted Stanley
Cup Centennial Patch sewn on the right breast.
The time-honored Canadiens logo, all numbers and “Petrov” on
the nameplate are all in tackle twill and sewn on.
Jersey
exhibits decent game wear with several red slashes on both of the
elbows, seven or eight dark stick marks upon the body, and light pilling
around the neck and elbows of the garment.
The fight strap shows light salting while the nameplate has
several threads running amuck.
One of only a handful of home Stanley Cup jerseys that I have
seen in the hobby.
Oleg spent much of his hockey career packing and unpacking
between the NHL and the minors.
Nevertheless, he was a member of the 1993 Stanley Cup Champions.
