| Surprisingly
effective 6th Round selection Mike McPhee sported the
conventional Canadiens colors for nine successful seasons.
Visiting red jersey proudly displays the Alternate Captain’s
shield along with a badly frayed Habs crest.
An abundance of small scrapes and scars litter the elbows and
lower sleeves of the garment, as well as two or three heavy black stick
marks around the shoulder blades flaunt the use of limber at the NHL
level.
This size 52 CCM Maska Ultrafil jersey was employed during the
1990-91 season sporting the NHL shield on the lower right hem.
Admittedly, I was always a big fan of Mike’s as he gave way to
the bigger stars on the team to perform the less conspicuous tasks that
win championships.
Paired with Ryan Walter for several games, each amassing good
numbers to finish the season.
Mike was a member of the 1986 Stanley Cup Champions and the 1989
Stanley Cup Finalists.
