Superb
vintage Canadiens wool uniform sports the “10” in double tackle on
the back and sleeves.
Antiquated garter style fight strap is attached to the back hem.
Nice all-around game use on this sweater including a few vintage
style repairs, inside pilling and obvious perspiration stains around the
armpits. Defenseman
Ted Harris wore #10 throughout the mid to late 1960s, but wool jerseys
of this style have been known to be used during the Habs training camps
of the Guy Lafleur era.
A close (but inconclusive) photo was obtained of Lafleur wearing
this particular style jersey has surfaced.
A photo of Lafleur, Yvan Cournoyer, and Frank Mahovlich wearing
this style of sweater was unearthed recently, but is open to doubt.
